The Town will hold an election on May 12, 2015 for two Town Commissioners each for a 4 year term ending May 2019; AND due to the resignation of Commissioner Robert Croswell, the person with the third highest amount of votes will fill the balance of his term expiring in May 2017. Every vote counts and is important. Anyone wishing to vote please note the following dates:

April 6th Voter registration ends.
May 5th last day to request absentee ballot.
May 12th General Election

The open seats are that of Commissioner Walter Chase who is not eligible for re-election and Commissioner Yvonne Bartolomeo, who is eligible for another term. Yvonne Bartolomeo, Robert Griffin Diefenderfer, Jr (aka RD); and C. Donald English filed for the open seats. On April 13, 20154 Yvone Bartolomeo withdrew as a candidate leaving two candidates to fill three seats. Anyone wishing to challenge the slate can declare themselves a “write in” candidate and ask voters to write their name on the ballot slip. Voting takes place at the town hall 4011 Powell Avenue May 12th between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm. The candidates have been invited to give a statement to the voters which will be available on the town website in mid April and in the May issue of THE INDEX..

The Town of Trappe is pleased to present this year's Annual Water Quality Report. This report is designed to inform users of the Trappe water system about the water quality and services we deliver to you every day. We are pleased to report that our water meets currently enforceable federal and state requirements for safe drinking water.

The report will be distributed to every person or entity that receives a Town water bill. Copies are also available at the Trappe Town Office, 4011 Powell Ave., Trappe, MD 21673-0162, and online at www.trappemd.net.
